Default 3D software courses, need guidance

Since long I wanted but could not find time but now I decided that I need to do some creative work using 3D packages.

I am intrested in product modelling & interior & archiectural rendering, apart from that I am quite keen on doing abstract art such as Vista wallpapers /ikons etc u must have seen so many on the web.

Since I am new to all this 3D & vector graphics I am not aware as to what I should do a course in & what softwares should I be learning apart from basic learning of graphic drawing.

Some images are here as to what I want to do similar work after finishing the course.

Any members experience in such software please suggest some gud courses in delhi & the software i should learn.

Thanks, but I feel learning from books can only happen when u know basics quite well & books can then help you to move forward in some special techniques.

My basic query is do I need to learn seperate softwares or any 1 of them like maya, lightwave, cinema4D or 3Dmax can do all jobs+extra plugins.

Let me give u example
Photoshop is industry leader in pixel based editor but it has many other functions incorporated into it, but those functons are far better performed in 3rd party dedicated plugins or softwares.

Paitshop pro can alost do the same but its a diffeent editor
GIMP is open sourse & can do the same
& there are further atleast 10 of them offereing the same features.

One has to learn basics of any one (1st choice is photoshop) then you know how the function works & can use other editors quite well, so no ned to learn all softwares but concentrate on one wih solid foundation of the concepts.

So same way which 3D software should I start with as I am a slow learner as I want the basic foundation to be quite strong.

Thanks for the link but at thsi stage buying these is out of the question as I dont even know what I need to learn.1st I have to figure out what software can do the maximum job & then I guesss I need at least 1 year to learn before I am able to start on my own.

check the Ants Institute www.antsindia.com

This institute provides career programs in 3D design like maya, 3dsmax (12 months to 20 months).

They also provide Certification programs. (1 month for photoshop to 6 months for 3ds max).

Thanks for the info but I am not looking for any animation courses, I want to use 3D images for still imaging creating 1 perfect frame that sells, most courses I inquire about last year had the same issue, more animation rather than what I want, thats why I posted it here.

Hope someone experienced in 3D give me some concrete info where to start from what software to learn, I don't want to go after 5 softwares if 1 itself can do the job.

Most importantly I don't only want to learn how to operate the software instead, I wan solid foundation understanding as I have done in photoshop.

Photoshop in 6 months is not what I am looking for, these courses dump too much knowledge of too many thing at one go without giving any clue of basic. I am photoshop user past 11 years & can tell that you mearly will know how to operate photoshop in 6 months, its a huge software & I use & know may be 20% of it only but that 20% I know is rock solid basic knowledge of it.
