help pls.. site not opening

sites like about.com, zdnet.com,download.com,zonealarm.com,microsoft.com and a few more arnt opening.. i have to use proxy to access those sites. i called my isp and everything was fine on their side. i reinstalled my os(win xp sp2) but the problem is there. help please. i use zonealarm and avast. this problem is being faced by me from the last one month.

run ccleaner first. reboot. maybe ur browser presuming ie is creating an issue. so try to go to internet option > privacy/etc and click on default buttons, close/reopen ie and try again. this time disable za too and c.

if it dzt wrk get ur hjt autoi-analysed at www.hijackthis.de toi c if there is a hosts hijack.

probability of virus or a spam attack...similar problem has been faced by me...use hijack this and then use ccleaner. Your problem will be solved...And ya one more thing if u r using zone alarm look for the blocked sites and unblock it..

Probably a virus OR host-file problem.
Have you tried opening them in some other browser then I.E. ,
like in Firefox

what error did u get in the first place? i assume u'd have tried without ZA. try using another browser.....and....yahoo is going to sue you for using their loading gif.

try once without ZA and see if prob. is still there or not????
