Default Trouble with opera 9.02

Whenever I start Opera 9.02, it eats up all my RAM and only 3-5 MB free memory is left. Other versions like 9.0,9.10 and 9.20 beta work fine. I am having 512 MB of RAM. Please tell what is the reason.

Usually, I have 250-300 MB free memory when using other applications. But on starting Opera, it reduces to 2-3 MB. I am using Avast Antivirus and Zone ALarm.

Opera eats more RAM at start-up. But not to the extent of 200MB! I suggest you to install the latest released version of Opera 9.10. Post the result....

Opera is designed to use more ram when it is availible and not needed. This means that if it is the only app you have opened it is going to us alot, and less with the more apps you open depending on their ram usage.

However new version has no such property.
If I am wrong, plz correct me

i remember once i had opened 20+ tabs there opera was using around 90MB

I am not lying. Even after reinstalling the windows XP , I haven't been able to cure this problem. The problem persists even after changing the RAM.

My opera was unable to show the images posted by members. This thing was rectified on its own.

I think zonealarm is creating the problems. Try disabling zonealarm and install opera in a new folder.
