Advantages of windows?

I wan t to know advantages of Windows including total number of windows users(Vista,Xp,98,......)

Googling it didnt helped me .. pls help me i want it for project work

Hey... were u talkin of MS Windows? Lemme c... beginnin to lose words... hmmmm...

More universal appeal... there is some Windows existing for every config, the lowest to the highest , everyone follows the Windows standards (how many printers of erstwhile do u remember having company-handed Mac drivers... got my point... )... & hence more applications made for it... more user-friendliness... most other guyz (or galz) u know has it (I've it.. u've it... almost 50% (my safe presumption) of da ppl here 've it )... more games available (competetive to PS/Nintendo/XBox combined )...
U can blah-blah about havin it... check out Vista users blah-blahin what Vista does.. (of course.. the Mac guyz blah-blah louder of their Apple's prowess... & they might b right...)
Costs a lot... more blah-blah occassions... I spent a fortune for the Vista Ultimate... The Aero interface is awesome yaar... I got the first Windows XP Professional in my town... blah.. blah...

Or is it your habit to turn every post to MAC VS Window$? or u don't know the answer but u want to answer? according to you 90% of world's computer users only do Minesweeping, they don't do any productive work. 1.windows handles removable stuff (except perhaps USB drives) 10x better than linux.
2. New software ( like opera) can be used on a 10 years old windows without compiling or other hassles.

4. gigantic selection of software compared to other OS (this is simply because its the most used desktop OS).

People use Windows because M$ pays other companies like Dell, HP, etc. to include Windows with their machines. Others just copy them and use Windows. People use Windows because they haven't seen Mac OS X. I've convinced over 30 people to switch to mac and no one of them is looking back at Windows.

I have installed Opera on my mac. I just dragged the downloaded folder to the Applications folder - and Opera's now installed. No boring Next | Next | Next loops. No registry. No .dll files. A lot more simpler on Mac OS X.

Even I use opera without reinstalling it.

What rubbish why will I pay someone to use my software. They sell their comps with windows because of the nice margin they earn from it.
