Angry Video editing- Big problem. Plz Help.

I have two problems relating to video editing. Plz help.
I have Celeron 2.0 Ghz with 845GVSR m/b, 384mb ram 40gb HDD. I am using InterVideo WinDVR3. The video source selected is `composite` and audio source is `line in`. The problem is that I am getting the sound after burning it into cd as vcd using nero 6 but am unable to get the video. For those of u trying to figure out how this is possible with this configuration plz dont bother about that cause i have already captured video in this config using a sony handycam. So plz tell me whether there is any problem in settings. For burning i have used mpeg 2 format and even tried with mpeg 1. But no use. And yes i am using Snazzio TV-Tuner card.
2. I am editing the video with Nero as I am not being able to edit with VirtualDub since the video captured is in mpeg format and VirtualDub requires avi format. How can i get around this problem? Plz suggest.

Default Re: Video editing- Big problem. Plz Help.

Which camera it is? Why do you prefer composite instead of Firewire? Do you know composite can't utilize the full Video YUV?

Why do you capture in MPEG instead of DV? Don't you know, MPEG is a delivery codec!

Have you encoded in PAL mode with Nero? If not will your DVD player supports NTSC? Didn't you know Indian TV Standard is PAL and some old DVD players can't even play NTSC movies
