Default Setup.exe, wow.exe

Quite often when I am trying to install any program, it takes too much time. After clicking on setup.exe nothing happens. When I bring the task manager to know the things it shows two simultaneous process namely setup.exe and wow.exe. But if I switch to Safe Mode then Install the program its runs perfectly.

Whats wrong with my system ?

^ I may be mistaken , but i believe wow.exe is some service for running the installers of old DOS based program. Try running the setup in compatibilty mode for Win98/ME. Then it should install fine in normal mode. Sometimes however rarely when youu run several processes in parallel, it may take several minutes to launch the setup, especially in old pcs. Go grab a snack in the meantime and wait. Repeating Ctrl-alt-del may omly make it slower as it will alter system priorities for the nt based services and prove counter-productive

wow.exe is a microsoft process used for running some applications. however there are malicious applications, such as friendly web, that use the same process name. world of warcraft also uses an identically named one. so rt click and check up properties of the files. but i think u dont have a problem as they appear only during setup times.

But I cant able to run the setup at all in Normal mode. After clicking on Setup.exe nothing comes out. I can only run such setup in Safe Mode. So what may be the reason ?

Hey friend, I also get this problem when I resume from hibernate. Then I found that I must not change EnablePreftecher Value in Registry which decreases time to launch application window. I reinstall my windows an don't change value and from then my computer runs fine.
