how do i set certain view settings as default for all folders ... like we had in xp .. under folder options ... set for all folders option ... in vista that option is greyd out for me

i want to line them acc to name but group them by type

Folder option works fine here in Vista

Right click on the blank area of a folder & set according to U like, then go to folder option->view tab click on set to all

ya i found a way of doing ... open a folder set the view press alt now open folder options from there and then its not greyed
