Bluetooth Dongle in Vista

Iam using Windows Vista Ultimate and i have recently purchased an USB Bluetooth Dongle.But Vista is not detecting the device.It simply connects it as "Unknown Device".

The CD which i got along with had Blue soliel software which supports XP.But i managed to download the Version that supports even Vista.Even then Vista is not detecting the Bluetooth dongle.

Please help me in this regard.................

Is the bluetooth dongle detected in XP.

My brother also has a BT dongle of IVT corporation but my computer always detects it as an unknown device in XP while it works fine in some other computers while others pose the same problem as mine.

I have not tried it in XP as i have only XP installed on my system.

What were you trying to say. You meant that you had only XP installed in your system. If so, what about trying it out on a friends PC which has XP or in a nearby cybercafe

hey if that is working in xp then the only solution is to take down the drivers from the find driver form internet option !

my blueisoil did the same but some how its working now !
