Angry ntvdm -CPU 100% usage:

whenever i run turbo C++, the task manager shows "ntvdm.exe" is using
100% CPU.

what should i do if this is not to happen.

this wasn't happening earlier when i was using c++.

ntvdm.exe is process that belongs to the Windows 16-bit Virtual Machine. It provides an environment for a 16-bit process to execute on a 32-bit platform. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

This may be due to a virus problem.
Scan your P.C. With an updated antivirus
BTW which processor and what are its config.
I will recommend u to uninstall OR temporary Disable memory hogging softwares like ANTIVIRUSES while using C

Increasing the RAM may also help

Its normal with turbo c when you run in Windows platform.
Try to play a file in winamp, and you will see how heavy is your system going.
Better keep the C window minimized for normal or les usage of CPU.

i think it can't be a virus problem....

even if i open DOS in windowed mode....system works fine....

only when the c editor opens... cpu usage shoots up to 100%
