I just checked te default csystem drive) on my system and found that a folder(system folder) occupies a whooping 845 MB(!!!) on the disk.
Is it safe to delete it?

What is the name of the folder? It is possibly a folder for System Restoration purposes... Normally, it is not recommended to mess with system files/folders unless you know exactly what it is for and that is not necessary in your case...
