Question How to remove defunct entries from Win XP Services list ?


Some programs leave their presence in the Win XP Services list even after their removal. So is there any method/registry hacks to remove the old defunct entries of the un-installed applications ?

Open regedit and goto:

Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
Now under this key, u'll get several other keys for each service. Here u can delete the desired key.

Click start -> run -> type "services.msc"
Stop the unwanted services

^^ He doesnt want to enable/disable services, he wants to remove service entries from the list.
