Unhappy Pen Drive does not show up in Windows XP SP2

Hello,

I have Transcend JFV30 1GB pen drive . When I install Win XP (no service pack) , my pen drive is detected by the OS , but when I install Win XP SP2 , my pen drive does not get detected .

I formatted my hard drive and installed Win XP ..... again it got detected .....again I installed Win XP SP2 ....and it refused to get detected ...

My Computer does not show the removable disk drive ( H: ) I have 4 drives
C: 10GB D: 30 GB E: 10 F: 10GB

Since Win XP (without SPs) detects my pen drive , certainly the problem is not with the USB port .I have plugged in and tested the drive onto my other USB port.....same behaviour .

I have also tried installing USB drivers which came with my Motherboard CD , but in vain

Is there a way for making my pen drive detected in Windows XP SP2

Someone Please Help .

Here's my system :

HIS motherboard P4M266A/8235 @ 533MHz FSB
Intel Pentium 4 1.9GHz
512MB Corsair DDR memory @ 400MHz
XFX GeForceFX 5200 128MB graphics card with AGP 4X
Mercury Power Supply 300Watts
Samsung 60GB hard disk
APC 500VA UPS

Thanking You,

In SP2 goto System Device Manager and try scanning for new hardware. That may help you.
