Default how to make a shortcut for "new microsoft document"

i wanted to run "new microsoft document" by making my own shortcut
which by default gets placed in the start menu.At first i could not
find out the application responsible for it, then Somehow i have found
that the application responsible for running this is
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\osa.exe
but when i click it .. nothing happens. i came across -n (which is at
the end of ..osa.exe-n) while i was finding out the application
responsible for running "new microsoft document".
can anyone help me in placing a shortcut to my desired place and
secondly tell me the significance of -n in the command to run it.

if u r talking abt making a shortcut for new word document...then file that u require is winword.exe in the same folder that u have mentioned......just send it on desktop as a shortcut and then copy and paste it in the location:
C:\Documents and Settings\$username$\Start Menu\Programs....and u will get ur task done...

Follow these steps

1. Right Click Desktop
2. Select New->Shortcut
3. Location of Item: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\osa.exe -n
4. Name for shortcut:Any name which u like
5. Click Finish

Now ur New Office Document Shortcut is ready u can cut, copy and paste it anywhere u like

-n is a switch which stands for new
osa.exe -n command indicates New Office Document
