Default boot up problem help me!!!!!

hi,when i install win 2000 is not able boot xp.i already installed xp .when i select xp it is not able to boot .give a better solution

Boot using XP Setup CD and enter into Recovery Console. Then give following commands:

fixmbr
fixboot
bootcfg /rebuild

now ur prob. is correct. i hv tried doing the same thing wht you hv done and i observed that if xp is installed first, and then u install 2k, it does boot to 2k but not xp. so i thnk since 2k is junior to xp, u wud hv to install 2k first and then xp.

thanks man /guru of windows.while i format my hdd it show a error then i started to reinstall my XP os ."your disk may be damaged".while registering component stairred line s where coming.again i restarts for installing.

m agree wid "the unknown",i might have install xp prior to win 2k........n regarding reinstalling xp better to check ur cd and try wid another one.....
