Go for the Transcend it is a very good value for money mp3 player with decently good quality of music and more space for your money.

K-pex is relatively costlier. 4-5k around for 1 gigabyte model. If you are on a shoestring budget like 3k, get the t.sonic 610. It is the best deal in the market. You can manage the 2 GB variant for a little over 3k. The build quality, package of this Transcend player is pretty good and more than acceptable from a budget mp3 player. The bundled earphones are average, get Creative ep-630 or some Sony Fontopia earphones. A word of caution, these 610's don't have wall chargers, they charge through USB cable. If you don't have access to a personal computer on a daily basis, get the Motorola cellphone chargers with mini-USB port. In other features, the device works as a pen drive too but read/write speeds are very poor ( around 2MB/sec). Battery life is well over 12 hours!

It is one of the best selling mp3 players in the market, and you will find it easily in the market. So availability issues here.

Yep u can get the TSonic 2gb at tat price. One thing, upgrade the firmware when u buy it. The older ones had a bit of a problem and made the player non-usable. So firmware upgrade is imp. Also navigation is slow. If u can compromise on space, then i think Creative Muvo is a better option. Also chk out the Creative Zen 1 gb(arnd 4 k in bangalore 1 month bak). Its worth the money

Go for the TSonic. Simply amazing!! If I hadn't got my Creative MuVo TX FM, that would be my choice Creative MuVo TX FM costs around 7K for 1 gig in Bangalore. Just go for the TSonic.

tsonic 610 is worth a buy- a gud bundle at a gud price
but i wud suggest that u first listen to the quality offered by the ipod shuffle (1gb, the 512mb model is closed) and the 610
then u decide whether the sound quality is worth compromising or not
also check how both of them play treble coz all of dem in the market reproduce bass very well but not treble
i wud suggest 4 the ipod

all i wanna say is that if u buy a player with capacity more than 512 MB, and u intend to fill it up with hundreds of songs.. u need a screen like the ipods or the cowons players. even playlists dont help... experience is talkin'....
