Expert Advice Needed !!

hi geniuses out there ,
i'm a 6th sem engineering student extremely confused abt my Sem-project topic.
The topics i'm currently thinking over r :
1. A Chat server using JAVA
2. Remote Access PC Software using JAVA
3. Voice Chat using Bluetooth

Kindly advise as to which one wud be suitable...keeping in view tht it's going to be a 5-6 mnth one.
Also..i'd like to know the way to start,and possibilities expected ..some brief technical details wud be so nice...and how to go abt it.

I think if you want to do something new and not done by many people then go for remote access software although it will be tough.You can go for a chat application which is very common and i think easy .

Reason - VOIP is a hot topic now a days.. So the above topic will give a drift to you later if you go for some VOIP proj...

Techonogy: You need to learn J2ME for the above topic..

Yes @pathik VIOP over BT is of no use as it will introduce lag and real time voice chat will not be achieved..

But VOIP (real time voice chat) using H.323 protocol or SIP (Sesseion Initiation Proto) on wired LAN can be great proj....

Alternatively proj on JMF(Java Media FrameWork) can be searched..
Real time application like live video capturing and transmitting can be produced via JMF.

go for 2 or 3. 1 is quite common and if at all u plan to do it, u will have to put nice features in it.
