Default low DVD volume


I have a strange problem playing DVD Movies, got the Munna Bhai MBBS DVD today, and when i tried playing it, all the sounds are coming fine except for the conversations. Background Music is playing fine, but there's a very low sound when the two people talk to each other, the sound is too too low. help me correct it. Do i have to connect the audio cable from the mobo to the DVD-ROM. help me

Change speaker/audio output settings... Mono/Stereo/4Speaker... all that stuff
Somewhere in audio confg...

Which player u r using? The dialogues are weak as u are currently using quadra or 5.1.
I recoment use Power DVD and set to stereo for better speech volume.

I am using Windows Media Player, but the problem persists in every player i use. I tried vlc media player, DivX player, WMP9. With jetaudio it's working fine.

will installing PowerDVD help, which version should i install to get total surround sound experience, having 4.1 speakers system(creative), winXP SP2.

Get version 6 or 7.
Also make sure on all system sound property the volume levels are set to max.
