Default booting problem on my pc


hi friends i have pentium III with 128 ram and 80GB hard disk my problem is i can not able to boot
windows neither xp nor 98.my friend has changed my c: drive to NTFS after that i converted it to
fat32 but after format when i want to install to windows(any one xp or 98) it copies files but couldnot
boot properly it gives message that is as follows:
A problem has been detected andwindows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer

REGISTRY_ERROR
if this is the first time.......
.................

Technical information:
***Stop:0*00000051(0*00000004,0*00000001,0*E101A32 0,0*00000080)
i think its due to convert to NTFS.but i have tried many things after that even i m facing this problem
please help me i cannot able to make parttions because i have very important data on my disk
tell me how can i solve that problem without parttion of the hard disk.
please help me friends thanks in advance to all

i think yr windows has been corrupted ..
repair with the xp cd..
or better format and install again.
yea chek yr RAM ..take it out and insert it again..

Check XP/98 cd's. if ok check u'r RAM.

It has become obvious to me that my registry files are corrupted.Windows is trying to read the regisrty files, but cant, therefore U get a BSoD with the REGISTRY_ERROR.GUIDE TO RECOVER FORM CORRUPT REGISTRY

then u can try FIXBOOT, FIXMBR and CHKDSK commands.



IF u can shell out some money u can buy this good utility
PC DOCTOR

Else last option is to REFORMAT WHOLE hdd and then reinstall WINxp

i dont want to format all harddisk i can only c because on another partitions i have imp data so please help me
