Default Mouse problem with Internet Explorer

I am using Win 2000 Server up-to-date and Norton 9.0 up-to-date, whenever I use the mouse in IE 6, IE crashes and I have to use the keyboard to browse.

I have scanned for viruses, updated Windows, re-installed drivers but nothing helps ... Is there a solution for this????
