Wheel problem for games

I have a IBM Mouse Suite Scroll Point Optical Wheel Mouse, connected by the USB.
All Info about Mouse:


Its got a wheel, but i'm not able to use the wheel for gaming purposes.
For eg:
In Games like Hitman, or SWAT or GTA, by default, you can use your mousewheel to quickly switch between various weapons. But when i try to do it, there's no response.. Neither can i configure it.

I went into the configurations for my mouse and the wheel tab is like this:



Now, how do i configure it so that it works for my games? Or is there anything else that i need to do?

most probably yr mouse scrolling function is dead...
no need to configure..the wheel i think..

u can buy a new one..they are 150-200 rs.

But i can easily scroll documents such as Word or Notepad using my Wheel. I cant understand why its not working for my games
