Please Google first...

spbbcsvc.exe is a core component of the Symantec Internet security suite and assists in keeping your computer up to date from Internet bound viruses. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated. It a Symantec Tamper Protection executable, like an intrusion detection process.

I'ld always say.. ditch Norton or Symantec Internet Security. U got free, better options. Lesser load on computers.

No much idea on Norton.. never used it. Hogs my system.
But... u can disable it or uninstall Norton as a whole. Install a new, updated antivirus & run the system scan. AVG and Avast r two free great antiviral packages. And use COMODO for Firewall... u'll b safe.

i think you have a virus in your system..... try a antivirus and scan your system.. also end the process named SPBBCsv.exe

and go to run in start and type there MSCONFIG then go to startup tab and look for SPBBCsv.exe and uncheck the box in front of it...

Kaspersky Internet security is the best in paid products. If you want free-Avast is the best AV.Also use Spybot and windows defender with ANY antivirus.

norton 2006 will make ur pc slow. sugst u use kis or zass instead. if u wanna convince urself, that ur pc is not infected, get ur hjt logfile auto-analysed at www.hijackthis.de.

c http://www.auditmypc.com/process/spbbcsvc.asp too.
