Not being able to Connect to Internet..Help required !!

hello friends,

I am really troubled by a new bug since last night, when all of a sudden I couldn't connect to the Internet using any of my browsers,E-mail clients,or IM programmes, but surprisingly my LIMEWIRE software could download at it's normal speed..Do anyone of you have any idea what might have happened ??

Desperately need someone to help me out,as I have no clue what to do to get rid of the problem, as I can't reinstall the OS all over again for this..
I am having Dataone Broadband connection..

I have seen a similair problem mentioned somewhere.The problem was attributed to DNS of BSNL..Changing the IP of DNS did the trick.You may also have a shot at it.Try this Preffered: 61.0.0.5 secondary 61.1.96.69 or some other numbers you prefer.It worked earlier.

hey friend, u must see ur firewall settings. U may have accidently blocked these program. Change ur firewall settings of these program.

I had sorted out the problem by changing the IP of DNS..
It's working fine now

You can always use public DNS servers such as 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.3 ...
