Default MS office prob. help


hi techies..

i am not able to open Microsoft Word application from last few days. whnever i try to open it it gives me an error messages.

1. "The Visual Basic environment could not be initialized."
2. " Microsoft Word has not been installed for the current user, please run
setup to install the application"


now, i loged in as a Administrator , before that it was working fine and suddenly started giving me that error message. can anyone please tell me why it is happening? i am using compaqs laptop so it was pre installed,

OS :- Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP2.

please techies.......do solve my problem..

For the first error message U can resolve it by going to C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates and rename normal.dot to normal.dot.old

But for the second error u need to reinstall Office for sure ... but since u mentioned that the issue started some days back only I would suggest restoring the OS back to when it was working ...
