Resize the image or use thumbnails. Large images screw the forum layout and make you close the tab without taking a second look.

As for the skin, it is too bright for my liking. Reminds me of the hmmXP style. I would say the digg skin just looks nice on their website. There was a similar digg skin for wordpress, which was OK but nothing great.
