Can't Connect!!!

hi ppl,

i'm not able to connect to ares in my coll coz i don hav admin privlages(tats wat it says) on these comps... is there any other software(p2p) which i can use....

besides when i tried to connect ares using a notebook it refused to connect for some reason....

I donno exactly what purpose it serves for you... Suppose if you want to transfer files/folders between any computers in network, you can use IP Messenger (http://www.ipmsg.org). This is a very nice utility which support maximum speed transfers.

For File sharing use DC++

the p2p protocol softwares are banned in most colleges..
thatswhy u cant connect..

Does your college use a proxy? if so.. u need to connect it through the proxy server...

u may try DC++ its great tool for file transfering..........

dude its ur server that is blocking connection to the outer world from unknown ports that these p2p uses... so if they are blocking via server then whatever u use will wont work until u findout a way to bypass proxy server..
