Is this a virus or not???????

My PC was working great until the saturday when I restarted it and found that after Login Screen My Keyboard and Mouse Stopped working

The system was not processing anything
But I cud not do anything


I restarted it many times but didn't solved the problem

Even in Safe Mode, even after restoring the problem was not solved

So I had to format it

But I always think wheteger it was a virus or not???


If anybody know anything like that please tell me?

Its always useful to keep a live Linux distro like "Knoppix" to tackle such situations. Neways, If ur mouse n keyboard r working fine after the fresh format/install, then it cud have been a Virus!
