how do the torrent site know that i am dwnloding torrent?is it spyware????

i have joined a private torrent site,where u have to maintain ratio.
how do they know i am dwnloding the torrent, bcoz my ip address changes everytime i connect to the intenet. then how do they trace me.
have they secretly installed something on my computer???spyware???

Nope...maybe you never observed the tracker url of your torrent. They add a passkey or special key which is unique to your account. This passkey is attached to the tracker url of the torrent as soon as you download the torrent. So whenever you download/upload due to this passkey in the tracker url they track your ratios.

BTW never try to remove passkey from url since private trackers won't work without passkey in it. And don't share your passkey with anybody.
