i have
pentium d processor
512 mb ram
intel 865 bord
15 " lg lcd

i m a student and home user.

i want to purchase windows vista. please tell me which version is best for me
which is also lowest price.

and where to buy in rajasthan.( deler's address n phone no)

you can have windows vista:
home basic : rs. 7900/- tax paid
home premium : rs. 8800/- tax paid
business:rs. 11700/- tax paid
ultimate:rs. 15800/- tax paid

and the best suited version will be home basic or premium for you

The starter version is especially made for countries like india .Bcoz it is cheap hence people may buy it.It also works in 256 mb ram but has nogud graphics effect like other versions of vista

the starter edition sux... u cant open more than 3 windows in it... no 3d desktops... mebbe even no theme support... do they think indians r cheapskates n dont deserve the best???
neways win vista costs rs50 in india ..
so no1s gonna take the starter edition..

I have seen its dvd(Ultimate version)For 25 rs and after discount 20RS.
And dont want to pay that download it from torrent-finder .I went there to see how many r downloading it and it showed me near by 8000 .

Nothing bad in this just for info

As a student, it depends on what you want to do with Vista. If your interested in gaming or graphical editing/3d animation, then go for the home premium. If you just need a computer for basic school level programming, or a bit of word processing, I suggest the starter edition/home basic.
