To Do so use:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

This runs xp natively on all intel-macs so i dont see any reason for it not to run all versions of vista.

Is it possible to also do the opposite,i.e, run mac os x on a pc using vmware since they both use essentially the same hardware nowdays and if not why since core2duo in mac different from what comes in pc's.In my opinion mac has lost its orignality by shifting to intel since the only thing that differs is the os which although is far more superior to any paid os.

Running Vista Home on a Mac...

In spite of what its license says, you can run Vista Home via virtualization apps.
