The best option is to copy the theme files from other MC PC.
As per other option reinstall the MC.

The first option looks better.

if you go the Re-Install way, run the Standard Recovery from HP PC Recovery option in Start Menu, this Re-Installs the MCE without affecting any files (no format takes place)

this is one of the BIGGEST Advntage of Branded PC's, you dont have to be a Pro to do stuffs like typing codes to copy sumthing (ntldr).

yeah, but tell me the "Step by Step" Procedure for installing/putting the Image (OS) back on C: Drive, & then i'll give the "Step by Step" Procedure for Re-Installing XP from Recovery Partition.

then u decide which is easy

Wait. If you're using HP, back up your data first before using recovery option, it set my HDD to factory state the last time I used it and I lost about 8 GB of data. Check your PC/Laptop manual from HP site for exact instructions. Basically it involves pressing the delete key when booting which brings the option, its easy and directed.

If its only the theme you want, I could send you the theme files from my /Windows/Resources/Themes

@nishant_nms, but its no good for noobs & ofcourse dude you have purchase that s/w separately.

& btw till now the Xp on my HP has crashed only once, that too due to my bro's "any link named porn- clicker" friends (all kinds of virus & cr@p)

after that its been 9 months with no crash.

You get Peace of Mind with Branded PC's.

why-
->all s/w that one will need (AV, Image Editors....) are pre-installed.
->superb Service Support, both h/w & s/w.
->No Need for Bargaining with shopkeepers, for various parts, as its a complete package.

Assembled PC's are for the ones who more familiar with h/w & s/w troubleshooting. simply put, not for noobs

with 1.5 years of experience with HP, now i've moved to Assembled PC's. now i miss Branded PC's already

@Aberforth which Recovery Option you're talking about, i guess you're talking about Full System Recovery

i was talking about Standard Recovery option, in this procedure, no file is deleted, not even the ones in Program Files folder, they're all renamed (but the old s/w wont work, as registry is new)

hmmm HCL, No Wonder you're happy with the Present Assembled one.

dude, HP PC's are the best, believe me. sure they cvost more than other branded ones, but the Quality (all materials used, build quality...) are simply the best.

btw i'm not sayin Assembled ones are not good, just sayin that once u use HP PC, you'll not like to go for assembled ones. (it'll atleast take 2 weeks to get used to assembled ones)

if you hav the Recovery Disks , read its manual, you've two options,

1. run Standard Recovery from Windows. (when ur PC is in working condition)
2. you can initiate it thru Recovery Disk(s), insert the disk->Restart-> press R for Standard Recovery or F for Full System Recovery ( <--restores the HDD/PC to factory settings -all partitions deleted...)

read the Manual to be on the safer side.

NOTE: R & F keys work based on HP Pavilion a1210in, may defer for ur PC, so better read the Manual
