pdf not working in Opera 9

Hello,
Does Opera support the viewing of .pdf files directly? If it does, then why am I not able to view .pdf documents?
What do I do to enable .pdf format in Opera?

Go to Tools->Preferences->Advanced->Dowloads... Select pdf extension and click Edit... Here, select use plugin and select acrobat plugin...

The acrobat plugin is already there. But when I open a pdf document, Opera downloads the document by doesn't display it. The screen remains blank.
Could it be any other problem.....?
