IE 6 not working

IE 6 does not work. If I type any URL in the Address Bar, I do not get any site and the Status bar displays 'Done'.

Please Help!!

have you tried going to properties and restoring defaults.. it may work .. if not then upgrade to IE7 , or reinstall IE6

yeah it will dont worry coz in my pops system @633 mhz and 192 ram its working fine

may be u should check the system of any harmfull programs (Virus/spywere)

also check the connection settings...

the problem could be the Windows Scripting Host;
download the update, run it, reboot and c if it helps. go here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

do first run ur av and as is safe mode and ccleaner too just to be safe

Check if you are able to ping a website... Try running "ping 209.85.135.99" (without quotes) in Start Menu->Run

Also, please check and inform if you are able to browse with alternative browsers Firefox and Opera...

What about other net applications such as Yahoo Messenger, Torrent, etc?

Everything works fine except IE.

BTW, I use Firefox, but my dad uses only IE and no compromise.
