Default LAN via USB !


Is it possible to create a Local Area Connection between 2 or more computers using USB interface ?

I have 2 Laptops and 1 Desktop.

get a cable which has both side usb male plugs, connect it to both computers open network wizard & follow the instruction & then if u have any problem ask here.

U will need a similar cable like this which has a converter in the middle:



Better use the LAN cable as it is cheaper

Another option option is you can use PARALLEL LAP LINK cable to connect the two PC

also if isp provide ethernet switch then it is well n good... one end at pc and one end at switch... and can share stuff on diff. pcs... at max. 10 Mbps speed
b/s ethernet switch has 8 ports...

Good. through RJ 45, you CAN GET 100 Mbps speeds..which is not possible through USB.

even u can get 1000MBps with CAT-5e cable and same RJ-45 connector if you have gigabit ethernet card

ya i have a Gbit Ethernet connectivity. My mobo is ASUS P5-VM. it has integrated Gbit Ethernet.

Do not get mistaken by "Gigabyte" its a company name....
I am talking about "Gigabit Ethernet card" make sure which one do you have..

BTW as i know ur model ASUS P5-VM does'nt come with a Gigabit Ethernet card..

Sorry its P5B-VM not P5-VM . and BTW GByte or GB stands for Gigabyte and Gbit or Gb stands for Gigabit. It may be a company but in general its a measure of data size .

Dude you r right i google and find out P5B-VM have Realtek chip responsible for Gigabit network support
