Default TV Tuner software.......

I have a 'TECH-COM' SSD-TV-670 TV Tuner & Capture Internal Card on my system.

The 'Super TV' playback software that came with the TV Tuner Card was pretty good in features, but on playback would play the video as if in slow motion. Same with recording.

I then tried WinVCR version 2.0. The playback, as well as capture was excellent. But the TV Tuner could not detect more than a few channels from the cable input. Even after scanning on all frequencies.

Can anyone suggest a better TV Tuner and capture software that I can download... ??? One that performs better in detecting TV signals from the cable input.

Thanks.......

I also suggest chrisTV lite.
For recording you can use virtualdub.

@ vinay: can you post the s/w? might come in handy.

Hi Guys,
I have a Dell Inspirion 6000 Laptop.
My concern is when I use a Techcom 813 external TV Tuner card & connect a local cable
service. The program / video quality is Grainy and not as clear as a normal TV.
Is there a solution of this ?
Normal Videos & VCD's from hardisk/Optical drive play properely on my system
Any help / advise / tips much appriciated
Cheers

Possibly your cable TV signal is of low quality. Also quality of your card matters. But there is nothing wrong with your display.
