Default Solid Nero alternative - CD Burner XP pro

Nero is the defacto standerd when it comes to CD Burning, CD burning and Nero are sysnoms to same term

However, as U have faced already, the Nero 6.6 is really big download, no online updates, & after installing it is well over 90MB, however what we forget that Nero comes with a lot of things bundled, like Cover designer,, backit Up, Soundtrax & Wave editor (by default), this more size is justified

However, waht if U require a Burner Only software, which does the burning job efficently like Nero, support all kind of burning u can think about & is still "Free"

Enter CDBurner XP Pro, a really good & developing CD Burning software, easy to use burnet only app, & it is very small compared to nero

Features
Download

What I liked in it is the integration with Explorer, & ease of use yet being small, it was given in CHip & digit already I guess, not a compleate Nero alternative as Nro comes with a lot of components, but a welcome change as for Indian Dialup users, downloading 30 MB nero everytime there is an update is really hard

EDIT: Better check your drive in the compatibility list

I have switched, works flawlessly with my Combo drive

Digit should give Feurio, the ultimate tool for creating Professional quality Audio CDs.The Pro version has some cool features like support for burning (different or same data) multiple CDs in multiple Drives.Real Multitasking capabality, that is u can read or rip from one CD while u r burning one!Super low CPU utilisation and more.
Check out features and Pro features

for the CD Burning part, it is quite good, burned my 9 CDs quite well, & no errors also, which I was not expecting

the thing is it is easy, & it has nothing new over Nero, however, it is free, small in HD, (20 MB compared to 90 MB Nero), as fast as nero, & still doing all the CD & DVD burning

It is compatible with all windows, check the webpage for more info
