"8-bit palleted textures" marked failed

In configuration menu of FF VII(older) I saw all the tests passed except "8-bit palleted textures" marked failed.The game is a 1997 release,and I think all tests should have been passed in XP.Some animations in the game dont appear but everything except does.What's the problem?How to fix it?
