Default Media Center Issue - Slow Movie Play


hi guys, my cousin is having problem on his Microsoft Media Center (PC).

when he plays any Movie (thru DVD or HDD), it plays very slow, but the same in other application works fine. (WinDVD player, WinAmp...)

i'll update soon on his Config.

till then any tips on what to do as basic troubleshooting

does he hv this problem in Windows media centre O.S. or the app???

general tips:
update dx9, install media centre specific drivers for gfx ,
re-install windows (a longshot but had worked for me once...whenever i played a video in WMP it used to shutter)

Also update sound drivers to MCE specific version & change the DVD decoder of MCE...may help

he has this problm when playing the Video on Media Center window.

how much RAM does he hv?? MC is usually resource hogging..
