hey..

how do i change the start up xp pic???
also, everytime i boot i get the blue screen,which checks for errors on drives.. how do i get rid of that???

frnd i didnt mean to understand by start up pic.Is it boot screen(where windows xp starting up comes) or the welocme screen(whaere username is there).

use logonstudio
and download bootskins you like from wincustomize.com

how to do it(i asume u hav windows directory in C drive):-
a>Open C:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe (for windows 98 go to folder system instead of system 32)

b>go to bitmap->1->1033 .This bitmap is the background of the boot screen)
c>click action menu-> click replace bitmap and choose the background of ur choice
d>go to bitmap->5->1033.This bitmap is the logo of windows xp .Replace it by the step "c".
e>click on file menu and then save .Now reboot ur system and see the effect.

Just a word of caution,

i could not boot my PC into Safe Mode when i used LogonStudio.

If you have ever used Safe Mode, then i suggest you check the safe mode when the computer is working all fine before the need arises!
