Cannot create Partitions

I have an 80 GB HDD.I have 7.92 GB of unallocated space on it right now.The problem is that the Create Partition option does not appear in Computer Management>Disk Management.I was just changing some settings in gpedit.msc and cannot trace back all of them .Can you plz help me...

if you at present have Four Primary Partitions, then you cannot create more Partitions.

you can merge the unallocated space to other Partitions though.

for Merging use Paragon Partition Manager 2005. (free full version s/w)

You should have created Extended Partitions.

i think next time when you Format a Partition, create one as Extended...

for best results... keep one partition as primary.. one as extended... and the rest as logical partitions within the extended space...
