Post IE 7 PROBLEM.!!! Plz solve this

I am using win XP Proffessional. I am facing a problem regarding IE 7.
When i upgraded my IE 6 to IE 7, the installation worked fine. After restarting the windows, I recieved an error ' windows explorer encountered an error and needs to close'' After clicking the ''dont send'' button, I cant see my taskbar and desktop icons. even right click on desktop does'nt work. My desktop stands still. Its only after pressing ctrl+alt+del, i am able to shut down windows using task manager.

PLZ HELP ME TO SOLVE THIS IE7 PROBLEM.THANKS

Default

rt click my comp > properties > advanced > error reporting > disable error reporting

also configure ur xp to "restar desktop and taskbar automatically after errors"
open regedit and navigate to :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Look at AutoRestartShell (a REG_DWORD) in the right hand pane. If it is 0 (do not restart), set it to 1(automatically restart).

with TuneUp Utilities u can do both very easily
