Default problem wit desktop

hi guys.....

i jus formatted ma system n reinstalled win xp pro sp2 pack....
wel d problem is now i can't use d right click feature on my desktop.... i mean its available everywer else except in desktop..... please help....

and oh ya, kindly tel me hw to disable "its safe to turn off ur system" screen....

Regarding to the Desktop Right-click problem, open regedit and goto:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\
Explorer


in right-cide pane, make sure there is no DWORD value named NoViewContextMenu, if its there, simply delete it

and regarding to disable the "Its now safe to turn off screen", it seems that ur mobo doesnt support ATX

thanks vishal, but actually its d first time d screen has come.... i mean before formattin, it was alrite....
n also der was no dword value named NoViewContextMenu, but der is another one with NoDesktop.... its got a value 1.... so shud i delete it.....

Yeah "NoDesktop" value also causes this problem and also disables all desktop items
So just delete it
