HI,
Is there any software which can split a video file into two or more parts such that both the parts are still playable.
If yes can you please tell me from where can i get it.

hey S'up;
There are 100's of such software ; go to www.download.com
and in its search type "video splitter " and vola you will have a list of many good video splitters to download. Best of luck on your Banana splits.

There's a FREE VCD cutter called VCD Clipper,works only for .dat files.
Download here:-
http://www.canalsw.com/product.php%5...Dcanalsoftware

There's another good one called AVI/MPEG/ASF/WMV Splitter,also splits VCD files,Download trial here:-
http://www.boilsoft.com/videosplitter/

Another good one is VCD Cutter,download trial here:-
http://www.downseek.com/download/21277.asp

But,for VCDs,VCD Clipper is more than enough,best of all, it's FREE.

Do any of these software work on quicktime movies (.mov files)? My Nikon Coolpix makes .mov files and at times I have to live with useless portions as well

tuxfan....ur best bet would be to conver it to a avi file and then do your editing. mov to avi conversion can be done using AimOne.

Also virtualdub is enough for all your video editing needs and its free too. Excellent software.
