Pc restarts

hi,
i hav p4 3GHz,915GAV, 2*256MB DDR 400 MHz, Windows xp sp2,
When ever i try to start anythng that uses mic.. pc restarts ... like yahoo messenger, windows recorder... plz hepl
The error that comes before restart..

I dont think its due to RAM as it works fine on other OS... Win 2000 server,,

This issue can occur when the Driver Verifier feature is enabled and a driver has used an improper address. Note that the driver that is causing this issue may be listed in the error message.

ya and also that you system is taking too much powere then offered by PSU

check this also.. that your system might be having jack sensing or taking earting from somewhere...

Hi Guys

I have also faced the same problem. In my case even the Power switch, in the PC also not switching off. I need close down the Main supply then only the PC starts, But still the problem exist. After 4/5 times then only the Windows XP login page comes.. Can any one give reply..
