Question Harddisk won't boot

Good evening all.

I've formatted my HDD using my friend's computer and now I'd like to install Windows 2000 on it. How do you make a bootable HDD? Can you point me to a step-by-step tutorial please?

Thanks in advance.

post this issue in the hardware section not here... but then also answer is:

Copy these files onto the hdd
command.com
config.sys
autoexec.bat
then create a bootable CD of win2000
