help with cd rw and dvd rw

hey guys
i m facing this problm frm the day i buyed my dvd rw , i have both cd rw and dvd rw installed i my pc , dvd is on secondry drive, i changed its jumper setting ,
my probm is , when i double click on cd rw or dvd rw they do not open , in blank 9withiut any cd or dvd in them , but this was not a problm whn i have only cd rw , it used to opn , i have habbit of writting cd by pasting and clicking on write this file on cd ,
i when i update my drivers it say it has been updated for cd rom , so now i cant rite anything using windows ,
plzzzz help
if u can post drivers plzzz give me links for that

Get or update adaptec SCSI drivers and then try.. hope it works
