Default System Halted

I have following configuration
Asus K8SMX Mobo
AMD 64 Bit 2800+
Geforce FX 5200 ultra 256

Now my problem is that whenever I start my system
I get the following message
Checking VRAM.....
Chasis Intruted
Syastem Halted!

When I restart afetr this error the system starts but the time and date settings are reset

I have changed the BIOS battery.

What could be the problem

Default Re: System Halted

In the system bios settings, look for a value called :
Halt On:
Change it to All but Keyboard.
This should be in the Standard Settings.

Moreover, in the Advanced settings, find a value which says "Chasis opening warning". Disable it.

Better will be to Load Optimized Defaults and save the CMOS settings.
