what is the best free firewall for windows
can anyone please help me, well i need a firewall for my windows machine and t would be best if that is free of course???
so alll u techie's ot there can anyone of u please help me out??
well as i serched the net i did find some of them
--> comodo firewall
--> ominiquad firewall
--> Zome alarm
well if there is any other that is notin the list plsase tell me
and do help me out

ZoneAlarm takess too much of resources.
I had used Outpost firewall(free version) in the past. It worked satisfactorily and found it pretty good. Give it a try.

Phew !! man do a search in this forum, i'm sure you'll find a lot of thread about this.
i've used the Free version & because of its use (for me) & reputation i upgraded to ZoneAlarm PRO, I'm really happy with it  ,
its got a good Anti-Spyware too.

Commodo is good .. But if you want the best protection, then Jetico is the best ... It will look a bit difficult to use at first .. But once you've put all the settings, your system is a safe one on the net .. You can have a look at Firewall Leaktester's results for a reference.

I use Zone Alarm and serves the purpose of a BASIC firewall
It is also free
