When i click My Network Places on desktop PC, i see my notebook PC, but get "Access Denied" when try to double-click it". When i click network places on notebook PC, i get this error ("http://i9.tinypic.com/2cnyzpg.jpg"). Both the PC's have NETBIOS over TCP/IP enabled. First of all I do not see how you can browse between two pcs with one connected through usb and the other through LAN (cat 5). You will have to have both on the lan.
A simple solution is to fit a wifi lan card to your pc so that they can both talk through the access point. A cheap solution is to fit an ordinary lan card to your main system and connect it to the laptop through a wired network using a cross crimp lan cable
