its stored in IE it self... that means or the user account (Win2000+) of the PC which u r using....

& is it safe ?

Depends of few points...

such as,

Its not safe when u r using a publick computer (like cyber cafe / school computer / office computer)

Its not safe if you PC dont have or have a week Antivirus of AntiSpyware system... as these information can be collected and trojanwares can send these to their owners...

Otherways if its ur very own PC... and its very secure with Good uptodate AVS like KAV and uptodate windows installation... then yup its safe...

coz i did read in a blog, anybody can find ur password if its stored or saved by any programme ......... bt he didnt mention HOW ?

& as many softwares r available 2 do these type of TASKs .....

The passwords stored by IE in this way is safe provided you have a good Anti-Spyware and Firewall installed in your system. Else an intruder can gain access into your system and steal these passwords!
