Default kaspersky installation problem

Recently I formatted c drive and reloaded win2000 with sp4, update rollup etc. etc. when installing kaspersky av it shows a dialogue box reading please download and install updated microsoft visual c++ runtime. I never seen this message before. then I downloaded it from microsoft site and installed in c:\ but still the problem persists.

please suggest.
